Kodansha House 2026 Brings Manga Worlds to Los Angeles

Kodansha House 2026 visual for the Los Angeles pop-up

Kodansha is taking manga to Los Angeles

On June 25, 2026, Kodansha announced that KODANSHA HOUSE 2026 will run from July 2 to July 12 in Little Tokyo / Arts District, Los Angeles. The pop-up is free, does not require reservations, and is timed to Anime Expo 2026.

The release says this is the first West Coast KODANSHA HOUSE after the New York editions in 2024 and 2025. It also says visitors will see creator-drawn visuals for Blue Lock, Attack on Titan, Witch Hat Atelier, and FAIRY TAIL, plus immersive zones, guest events, and limited merchandise.

Why this stands out

The important shift is not just that Kodansha is exporting famous IP. It is that the publisher is framing manga as a place you can enter, not only a catalog you can browse. In practical terms, that makes the event feel closer to a temporary cultural installation than a standard sales booth.
