On July 7, 2026, THE SUMO LIVE RESTAURANT 日楽座 GINZA TOKYO launched Ginza de Dosukoi! Cool Down! 2026 , a summer program that runs through August 18. The event turns the Ginza venue into a seasonal stop where sumo, Japanese food, sake, and Tanabata customs meet in one indoor setting. What Was Announced The release frames the event as a bridge between modern Tanabata on July 7 and the eve of traditional Tanabata on August 19. Guests can write wishes on tanzaku and hang them on bamboo, order summer-only drinks including Japanese-sake cocktails, and join a stamp rally that gives participants original goods. Visitors who attend the performance and take part in the post-show photo session can also receive a limited-edition uchiwa fan featuring a sumo wrestler.
